Water Water Everywhere Part Two

Water makes up the greater part of the earth's surface...and the greatest part of your physical makeup. Since water is a solvent in which almost everything breaks down, water is not naturally pure...but through the miraculous way that God has ordered our earth, there are springs of water safe for drinking in many, many places. How we treat our earth is changing that somewhat, but that was not God's original, beautiful design. This site is devoted to nutrition, but do explore what you can do to help in the quest to keep our water pure, many environmentalist groups are concerned about this, and for those that love the Bible, God tells us that we are to be good stewards of His creation.

Water makes up over half of your physical body....it makes up a large part of our blood, lymphatic fluid, digestive juices, urine, and sweat. It is necessary for circulation, digestion, elimination, and other bodily functions that we take for granted. It carries electrolytes and many minerals throughout the body. You can see from this how very important it is to give your body the water it needs on a daily basis...you take a bath in it to keep the outside of your body clean, you drink it to keep the inside clean and functioning properly.

It goes without saying that pure water is absolutely essential to the life of our planet, and the life of our body.

Lets take a look at a few things that can be found in water, many of them undesirable, then we'll look at how to remove these things from water in the coming days: lead, mercury, aluminum, cadmium, organic solvents, bacteria, viruses, parasites (esp. giardia), industrial chemicals, pesticides, asbestos, radon, nitrates, chlorine, fluoride, sodium.

We'll also be discussing the various sources of water...tap, well, spring, and various methods of purifying water.
