Husband's Heart Attack Before and After Stent Pictures

L. pic Before/R. pic After
It's been a BUSY week, working 3 days, then yesterday taking my dear hubby for his 2nd stent procedure. By the way, you're looking at a picture the doctor gave us of the arteries in the heart. We got a before and after, it takes a little work to make out where the stent is.

Thankfully, we didn't get a call 15 minutes before we were to leave for the hospital like we did last time, saying that they had to cancel due to an emergency. Thank the Lord all went smoothly, and today, I brought him home, and it's almost as if nothing had ever happened.

It is amazing that we have technology now that allows a doctor to be working inside the arteries of the heart through a narrow tube that goes up through an opening in the groin and large artery right up into the heart, then you can come home the next day feeling great.

This time the artery had a blockage, but also after the blockage the artery had what I call a kink in it, I guess there's a better medical term. The doctor was very pleased to find that it was soft and pliable, as, he said, often the area hardens over time, and the stent can't be inserted.

SO, Paul has to rest this weekend...and you can be sure I will be, too. Then, yes, he can return to work already on Monday, as his job isn't a heavy lifting or physical job.

I hope that this will be the last post for a long time about Paul's heart, and with returning to good eating, proper exercise, proper supplements, and necessary medications, Paul will live a long and happy life. I can't imagine life without him, and praise the Lord for another chance.
